The goals for which the data is collected
We only collect personal data necessary for legitimate purposes.
When you order something from us, we need the following information from you in order to process your purchase in our administration.
- First name + Last name
We ask your name and address details to handle your order. This information will be on your invoice and we also need this to deliver your order to you. As soon as our system has created an invoice, you can no longer adjust this.
- E-mail address
We need your e-mail address to email your order status. You will receive the following e-mails when you order something from us: Order Confirmation, Invoice and Shipment Confirmation. We will not use your e-mail address to send you unsolicited newsletters, unless you have explicitly asked for them.
- Phone number
Your phone number will only be used if we need to clarify your order and / or answer your question.
- Order content
In order to deliver the right products, we need to know what you have ordered.
- Payment and invoice details
We use a secure payment environment. All our payment methods are carried out by a reliable payment provider Sisow. Sisow can tell us if a payment has been made. We also need your payment details when you get money back from us.
The invoice contains the following information:

You can reach us through our social media accounts on facebook, pinterest and instagram. You can also contact us directly by telephone, mail or letter. In order to be able to handle your question or complaint, we use the contact information you provide us. There’s a possibility that we request additional data to make the handling smooth
- Visit the Elfabasesite
To protect your visit on our website we use an SSL connection. You can check that by looking if our url is starting with https://. This means that you are actually on our website (authentication). An SSL connection also ensures encrypted encryption for the security of data that you send to us via your web browser.
Who are the recipients of the personal data
We only share your data with other parties if necessary for our service. This concerns our delivery partners, suppliers, payment partner and our IT service providers. These partners are involved in the execution of the agreement and are not allowed to use the data for purposes other than our own.
- Our delivery partners use your personal data to deliver your order to the correct address.
- Multisafepay is a Collecting Payment Service Provider (CPSP), which provides payment services such as Mastercard and PayPal for our webshop
- To make your purchase and site experience as pleasant as possible, we work together with an IT service provider. They host and optimize our site.
The parties that gain access to your data may only use these to provide you with a service on our behalf, Elfabase. Unless they are responsible for obtaining and protecting your data. We never sell or provide your information to third parties without your permission unless we are obliged to do so based on a judgment by law.
Where is it stored?
The personal data you provide will be stored in a database that we use to make our activities known. Our database server is located in the EU and is hosted by our IT service provider.
We keep and use your data for as long we are legally obliged. We archive the data after the retention period and then also use the data anonymized for statistical purposes. If this data is no longer needed, we will destroy the data.
In connection with the financial legislation and the tax authorities, we must keep your invoice, payment and order data for 7 years.
If you have registered to our newsletter, we will retain that permission for 5 years. If you decide not to receive it anymore, we will keep the request.
Your rights to see, rectify or erase data
You have the right to object against the processing and inspection of your
personal data. Do you want to receive a copy, change, delete your data? Or
change your email preferences? Let us know by (post)mail or by e-mail. We may
request additional information to confirm your identity.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter or by writing us. If it concerns access to personal data linked to a cookie, you’ve to send a copy of the cookie in question. You can find this in the settings of the internet browser you use.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other
administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to file a complaint with
a Supervisory Authority. In particular in the Member State of your habitual
residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you think the
processing of personal data relating to you infringes this Regulation.
